Event/ Outreach- 11/18

Parents,

Today the students had Ja Hewitt (youth Pastor) come in and speak. The students understand that FCA is only a bridge to the local church. Thus meaning that the students understand that we need a family at school as well as a church (Christ's body) to encourage us, and a place that is taking us close to the person God desires us to become. It was a simple chance to invite and encourage the importance of Church.

A special thank you to the parents here that stepped to the plate in prayer, pizza, raffle items, waters, goodies, and their physical presence this Thursday. God is moving because of you.  Lets continue to pray that God will have his hand upon the kids, this school, and that we see him move this year.
In Him,
Brad

Leadership Meeting

This Thursday the "leadership team" at EHS met where they planned, shared, and prayed together as they always do in leadership meetings. One thing that the leadership team always does, is have someone give a heart inventory during the first or last 10 minutes of the meeting. This week starting football quarterback and FCA student leader "Mark Tumlinson" shared his heart and story of dealing with a torn ACL. Which happened on the first play, of the first game of the season.

Please continue to pray that God will have his hand upon the kids and their ministry to impact the campus!
In Him,
Brad

EHS Second FCA Event

Last week we had youth pastor Ja Hewitt come to equip, inspire, and challenge the 35-40 student leaders of FCA to be plugged into their church as leaders. He came to help equip them in their mission to reach the lost on campus and get their friends plugged into a community of believers at their church.

This week the students organized and had their second outreach event/ huddle where former NFL Arizona Cardinal QB/ TV show host/ Author- Egypt Mckee came to speak. He inspired, challenged, and prayed that the kids would become content in who God has made them to be.

EHS First Event

Last Year, at Esperanza High there were two lunches, so we had to have FCA twice in the same day every Thursday. We could only meet in classrooms. There was about 40 average in each of those classes. Well, with the solid leadership of about 35-40 students this year, things have began with a bang. In Esperanza's first event there was 150+ students in attendance. In the first event the purpose was to gather and pray for the year, the school, and FCA. Through parent support the leaders and fellowship here will develop nicely. It looks that God has a big plan for this school. Keep praying.
In Him,
Brad
